Some People Ain’t Me

No matter what you say or do, there’s gonna be people who don’t like it.

When you’re willing to fully embrace yourself, you’re gonna piss people off.

There’s gonna be people who argue with you about it, or hate you for it.

And it’s all ok.

Not everyone will understand you.

Not everyone wants you to succeed.

Not everyone wants you to grow.

Many will do everything in their power, consciously and unconsciously, to keep you as an old version of yourself that you are trying to break free of, simply because if you change it means they might have to as well.

And that’s too much to ask sometimes.

Most people don’t want to acknowledge their true feelings, admit things to themselves, and get honest about what’s actually being created in their lives.

You can’t control ANYTHING about another person.

Many will try, and because a lot of us are people pleasers, we will allow them to get away with it.

Some people won’t see your value.

Then as others begin to appreciate and value you, those who don’t will get mad at you because they still aren’t acknowledging your worth.
