I Want What I Want, Even if You Don’t
Stop abandoning your dreams for someone else’s fears.
Have you ever beaten yourself up or berated yourself for wanting something more in your life? For having the audacity to make yourself and your experience on Earth “better” and more enjoyable?
Or has someone else ripped the dreams from your cloud of imagination telling you you’re not allowed to want that, can’t have it, it’s stupid, or you’re somehow “bad” for desiring something different?
How many times have you abandoned your own dreams, wants, or needs simply because someone told you that you couldn’t have it (even if it was you who said it)?
I know I’ve done this more times than I can count (or would like to amidst, lest I show I am human and still fall prey to my patterns and conditioning). And I also know how downright shitty it feels to have all the air drained out of your balloon of high hopes and good intentions for yourself and your path of life.
