We don’t always get it right. We are human after all (I think). We’re going to mess up at this thing called “life”, and let’s be honest here, no one has got it all figured out.
We came to this planet to experience polarity — we can’t escape the duality as it’s what permeates the traumas and dramas here, and we can’t escape those either. But what we can do is learn from all our “mistakes” so as to come out wiser in the end.
Knowing that there are no actual mistakes in life, there are only experiences and feedback, it’s only us silly humans that insist upon labeling things, and like it or not, we choose to stay in those emotionally lower places, ruminating about what went wrong.
We often don’t consciously know we do this, because who would knowingly choose pain and suffering for themselves? Yet when we complain about our lives, keep bringing up old stories of how we were wronged to anyone who will listen, and feel lousy about the choices we’ve made and the state our lives are in, we are openly inviting all that pain and suffering to pull up a chair and stay for dinner. Or forever.
